dynaSight version 4

ArcPlan released a new user interface with dynaSight version 4.0. Some of the new features and improvements will be as follows:

1) dynaSight Search Engine for finding and jumping directly to documents containing search criteria (live example can be seen at www.arcplan.com/searchengine)

2) '.Net client' -- Alternative to DHTML and Java Applet deployment. '.Net' will have more potential functionality and speed than the Java Applet or DHTML

3) PDF for Windows
--- PDF generation through dynaSight
--- no dependability on third party software to create the PDF file

4) PDF for UNIX
--- PDF generation through dynaSight
--- no dependability on third party software to create the PDF file

5) Support and integration into Microsoft Active Directory

6) Kerberos authentication
--- enhanced and improved Windows integrated authentication
     options in a Microsoft network environment

7) XML/A
--- interface for XML for Analysis
--- dynaSight will then be an XML/A consumer and be able to
     query data from an XML/A provider

8) LDAP Interface
--- important for authentication & integrated security
--- dynaSight will be able to read and query the content of an LDAP directory

9) Send e-mails through SMTP Simple Mapi
--- better e-mail functionality

10) Support of the formula EXCLUDE (until now only INCLUDE) for variables within SAP BW

11) Support new SEM 3.1 B functions

12) New Oracle OLAP interface
